Troubleshooting Guide for Display Issues with HDMI and Receiver Boxes (Training Room)
If you're experiencing issues with the display setup (e.g., no output on the screens), the problem may be related to the HDMI connection, receiver box, or drivers. This guide walks you through the steps to troubleshoot and resolve these issues quickly.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Reset the HDMI Connection
- Unplug the HDMI cable from the splitter.
- Plug the HDMI cable directly into the laptop to reset the connection.
2. Update the Driver Settings
- Access your computer’s Device Manager.
- Locate the display drivers under "Display Adapters."
- Right-click and select Update Driver.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to ensure the driver is updated to the latest version.
3. Check the Receiver Boxes
- Look at the small receiver box (blue light indicators):
- If the blue lights are off, the box is not receiving power.
- Locate the large receiver box (with 3 yellow digits on the display):
- Press the power button on this box to turn it on.
- Note: This box does not change its appearance when powered on, so confirm pressing the power button to activate the blue lights on teh small reciever box.
Common Cause:
The power button on the large receiver box is often accidentally pressed, especially with the box is located near foot traffic.

- Always check the connections at both ends (laptop and receiver) to ensure secure placement.
- Avoid placing items near the large receiver box to prevent accidental power interruptions.
